Why Do People Die?

Hi, Everyone,
Last week, we will began our study of “tough questions” with a lively discussion “What is Sin?” This Friday, September 28, our tough question is “Why Do People Die?” This is a question we all face. It’s a question that our children and others ask of us, and perhaps we ask it too. Come and share your thoughts, learn from others and hear from God.

Upcoming:
Community Dinner ― September’s dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, September 25, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. We will be having hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, various salads, beverages and desserts. There is not a lot of food preparation for this meal, so we will delay our start until 4:00 pm. Dining room setup will also start at 4:00 pm and we will begin serving at 5:30. Clean up begins at 6:15 pm. As always we welcome help in all areas particularly in clean up. Please contact Donna Rischbieter at dlrisch@nycap.rr.com or 518-877- 0553 if you have any questions or to volunteer.
The Book Club has chosen The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel for the next discussion. The date is Tuesday, October 23 at 7pm at the church. In The Case for Faith, Strobel turns his skills to the most persistent emotional objections to belief―the eight “heart barriers” to faith. This Gold Medallion-winning book is for those who may be feeling attracted to Jesus but who are faced with difficult questions standing squarely in their path. For Christians, it will deepen their convictions and give them fresh confidence in discussing Christianity with even their most skeptical friends. Please contact Becky if you would like help obtaining the book. Used copies are about $4 on line.
Mission Possible – Activities for all ages. Sunday, October 28, 12:00-4:00.
World Hope Gift Fair – Saturday, November 3. (Set up is the night before)

I hope to see you all on Friday, September 28, for Friday Morning Moms.
Grace and peace,
Denise
