Serving God and Others

Hi, Everyone,
We are starting out this season of Friday Morning Moms with a six- part study on spiritual formation. We are now more than half way done, or maybe we’re just beginning. We’ve looked at prayer, Bible reading, and dependence and obedience as meaningful and effective ways to deepen our relationship with God. This Friday, October 14, we will talk about serving ― serving God and others. It’s a great time of year to concentrate on serving…

Friday Morning Moms’ Child Care – Child care for our group on Friday Mornings will be offered in the church nursery, on the far north end of the church building. This is a dedicated room designed and maintained especially for small children. Our two professional child care specialists will care for your children there.

In order to reach that room, we need to abide by the new security policy recently enacted by the Shenendehowa UMC Preschool. The new policy is that no one other than preschool staff is allowed to be in the upstairs hallway during the time preschool is in session.

In order to drop your child or children in the child care room, either enter by the Samaritan Counseling Center, which is the door marked “D,” or enter by either of the other two doors “B” or “C” and the preschool receptionist, Jean, will show you how to access the room by passing through the Sanctuary. This may sound complicated right now, but we want to be sure all our children are safe. You can be assured that your children will be well cared for and the child care ladies will be able to reach you by call or text at any time.

I’ll look for you all on October 14 at 9:00 AM.

Grace and peace,
